Ordinary website visits
The site uses first-party minimal audience measurement without analytics cookies, advertising profiles, visitor identifiers, fingerprinting or stored User-Agent strings. It sends only an allowlisted event type, the page path without query or fragment, language, device category and traffic-source category. It does not send the full referrer URL or a search term. After 400 days, an event is marked as expired and is deleted in limited batches when the protected dashboard is opened. Aggregation takes place only inside that dashboard. Measurement and its protective layer remain disabled when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled.
Public writes are protected by Firebase App Check with Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise. This security layer may set the necessary _GRECAPTCHA cookie and store a time-limited App Check token in IndexedDB. Google and Google Firebase Hosting may technically process the incoming IP address, request time, security signals and operational data while delivering the page and write request for abuse detection. The site does not store IP addresses in audience statistics. The purpose and legal basis is the legitimate interest in understanding content use, protecting the public write endpoint and improving the site with minimal privacy impact.
Private editorial section
Access uses a separate Firebase Authentication account and an authorisation marker bound to its UID. The login state is stored only in SessionStorage for the current browser tab and ends on sign-out or when the tab is closed. The site creates no custom login cookie for this session and stores no HMAC fingerprint of the IP address.
An email link opens your mail provider; the website itself does not store the message. The editorial mailbox processes the address, message and attachments to reply, assess a lead or handle a correction, and retains them only as long as needed for that purpose and the protection of rights.

Protection of aggregate measurement
The Firebase Spark variant uses neither a server-side HMAC fingerprint of the IP address nor a server-side IP rate limit. Public writes and administrator sign-in are protected by Firebase App Check with reCAPTCHA Enterprise enforcement for both Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication. App Check does not replace a server-side IP rate limit, and new writes may be rejected until the quota resets if the free monthly reCAPTCHA Enterprise quota is exhausted.
