An analytical magazine that shows both the strength and the limits of evidence
Jiný Kontext publishes Czech analytical texts on society, technology, law, science, media, history and the formation of judgement itself. It keeps findings, estimates, interpretation and conclusions apart; articles disclose sources, method, corrections and the role of AI.

Status at page build: . Counts come directly from the site’s current data; they are not a reach or traffic estimate.
Indicative traffic
An indicative model from anonymous site entries, at most once per tab session; it is not an exact unique-person count, and one person may be counted more than once.
An audience defined by need, not by assumed demographics
The content is for readers who need to tell a documented finding from a stronger claim: people in media, law, education, public administration, technology and professional practice.
This is an editorial focus, not a measured demographic profile. Until verified audience research exists, we do not state age, income or occupational mix.
Texts that show how the work is done
The selection presents different evidence situations. It is not a traffic ranking.
An Authentic Recording, a Wrong Conclusion
A ten-second video can be genuine and still create a false picture. The crucial distinction is between technical authenticity and evidential completeness.
The Phone Was at the Crime Scene. Was Its Owner There Too?
The difference between the digital trace of a device and evidence of a particular person’s conduct. What do GPS, mobile networks, Wi-Fi, IP addresses, cloud accounts and application records actually prove?
History Is Not Written Only by the Victors. It Is Also Shaped by What Survived.
The past is not the archive. An archive is a fragment that survived literacy, material decay, war, censorship, archival selection, translation and interpretation.
Five rules that apply before publication
- A commercial relationship must not determine the editorial conclusion.
- Partnerships and commercial content must be clearly labelled for the reader.
- An unsupported partner claim is not adopted as an editorial fact.
- Source links, limitations and significant corrections remain findable.
- The editorial team may decline a commission if it would conflict with independence or transparency.
From brief to a written confirmation of the output
- Brief: aim, intended output, deadline, topic and the partner’s ties.
- Assessment: editorial fit, conflicts of interest and labelling.
- Offer: scope, responsibilities, timetable, approval points and terms.
- Delivery: the partner checks their own documented figures; editorial conclusions remain with the editorial team.
- Publication and corrections: agreed labelling, sources and the subsequent correction process.
Prices: no public price list is published. Scope and terms arise only after a brief and written confirmation; this page does not promise a specific reach or result.
